A meeting was held between Dallah leaders and officials of IE University from Madrid, the world top university for Online MBA Programs.

A dialogue session was recently held at the Saleh Kamel Business Center in Jeddah that included the leadership of Dallah Al Baraka Holding Company and its sister companies with high-level officials and academics from the Spanish IE University, which is ranked among the top ten universities in the world in Master of Business Administration and executive programs, and the first in the world to offer a certificate program. Master of Business Administration online, as part of a four-day tour during which she met major companies working in the field of Islamic economics.

The Saudi Spanish Center for Islamic Economics and Finance, an alliance between the IE University in Madrid and King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, participated in this session, where Dr. Kaleem Alam from the Institute of Islamic Economics at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah spoke about the role of the Islamic economy in achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.

For his part, Mr. Tariq Khoshhal, CEO of Dallah Investment Company, pointed out the importance of the topic of the dialogue session, which was titled “Dallah Albaraka and Ethical Investing: A Sustainable Vision for Financial Growth,” and because such meetings work to bring views closer between international academic institutions and the Saudi business sector, particularly those involved in Islamic economy.

The Saudi Spanish Center for Islamic Economics and Finance (SCIEF) is a collaborative initiative between IE University in Madrid and King Abdulaziz University, that has been promoting the understanding of ethical and Islamic finance for over 15 years.

The Islamic Finance Executive program is a four-day training program to explore the role of Islamic finance, covering trends, social finance, technology’s impact, and collaboration with multilateral organizations for sustainable development and achievement of the UN-SDGs.
